Cold and flu season is right around the corner, especially now that our sweet little ones are back in school and sharing germs with all their friends. We’re already in our 3rd week of school and neither of my kids has got the sniffles yet. However, I know it’s just a matter of time.
Teachers do such an amazing job of keeping kids clean and disinfecting surfaces during the school day. I like to take in disinfecting wipes for my kids class whenever I think about it. It helps the teachers have one less thing to worry about it. If they have a stockpile of germ killing wipes, they’re more likely to use them!
With all those little ones getting sick around our teachers, they need all the help they can get to fight off those pesky cold and flu germs. So I thought it might be a fun and thoughtful gift to give our teachers an immunity gift basket as a back-to-school fun teacher gift!
This immunity gift basket has lots of items to help keep teachers healthy, happy and taking care of our sweet angels, and it’s super easy to make!
For the basket I just use 3 things – a basket, a new kitchen towel and a pretty ribbon.
For the extras, I chose a new water bottle and a refillable hand soap bottle.
You could also add other fun items like hand sanitizer or tissues.
Lastly, I add an assortment of fresh fruits. Use whichever fruits are fresh and in season at your local Walmart!
So to begin creating the basket, I just took a little chicken wire basket. You can use any type of basket you have on hand though.
Then I start to weave a wire ribbon in the basket.
I leave a little extra on the handles, to make it cute. I use the entire small roll ribbon, 4 yards worth, so I can make a big bow.
Then I make a big bow with the wire ribbon and secure it with a bread tie. You can work the ribbon and make the bow look however you’d like.
Next I line the basket with a contrasting new kitchen towel. I like to use kitchen towels over tissue paper because they’re reusable.
Then I include lots of fresh fruit because the first line of defense in staying healthy is to eat lots of different delicious fruits and vegetables.
I include a pretty water bottle because we could all use a cute new water bottle and hydration is so important to stay healthy. It’s the easiest thing we can do! Having a new bottle just encourages you to drink more.
I include a refillable hand soap bottle too. This one is super cute and can be used in class or at home, and can be refilled whenever and with whatever soap you like.
I’ve also included two of my favorite supplements from Nature Made®. Because sleep is so important to staying healthy, I’ve included Nature Made® Melatonin Adult Gummies. These gummies are delicious and easy to take.
Nature Made® Melatonin Adult Gummies taste amazing and are just about the easiest way I’ve found to to help support sleep.† These supplements help your body reset its sleep/wake cycle† and provide 2.5 mg of melatonin.
I’ve also included Nature Made® Super C Immune Complex. Sometimes our immune systems need a little more support for our overall health and well-being, and that’s where this vitamin comes in!
Nature Made® Super C Immune Complex provides an incredible source of five important immune support nutrients.† They contain 900 mg of vitamin C and 15 mg (33 IU) of vitamin E, two essential nutrients that support the immune system and provide antioxidant support.† They also provide 450 mcg (1500 IU) of vitamin A, 25 mcg (1000 IU) vitamin D and 11 mg of zinc. These three nutrients play a key role in supporting our immune systems.†
I purchased both Nature Made® Super C Immune Complex and Nature Made® Melatonin Adult Gummies at Walmart as well as all of the items (with the exception of the hand soap that was in my gift closet) used to make this gift basket. Walmart has a large selection of Nature Made® vitamins and supplements to choose from, plus lots of different options to make the cutest gift baskets!
I love the quality of Nature Made® vitamins and supplements. They’re the brand I trust for myself and my family because they test their products for purity and potency which provides me with the added assurance that we’re getting the nutrients our bodies seek.
