Kentucky Hot Browns

Have you ever had a Kentucky Hot Brown? They can be made very easily, and make a great weekend breakfast, brunch, and even dinner item. It’s a biscuit topped with sliced turkey, fresh tomato, bacon and cheese. Head over to the Pillsbury site and you can check out my step by step photos for Kentucky Hot Browns.

Kentucky Hot Browns

1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Homestyle refrigerated Southern style biscuits (8 biscuits)
8 thick slices bacon
2 large tomatoes
8 thick slices cooked turkey breast
1 1/2 cups finely shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese blend (6 oz)

Bake biscuits as directed on can.

Meanwhile, cut bacon slices in half; cook or microwave until crisp. Cut each tomato into 4 thick slices.

When biscuits are baked, increase oven temperature to 400°F.

Using fork, split warm biscuits. Place bottom halves of biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet. Top each biscuit half with 1 slice turkey breast, 2 tablespoons shredded cheese, 1 slice tomato, 1 half-slice bacon and 1 more tablespoon shredded cheese.

Bake 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese is melted. To serve, cover each hot brown with top half of biscuit.
