If I had to choose just one food for the rest of my life that I could have, it would be peanuts. I’ve had a life-long incredible love for peanuts. My mom even has plenty of little kid pictures with me and a jar of peanut butter to prove it too! It’s my favorite comfort food, and something I eat almost everyday!

That’s why I was over the moon excited when the National Peanut Board asked me to collaborate with them this summer. Peanuts are something not only myself and my family have a deep affection for, but where I grew up too! All the farmland surrounding my families property grew the most amazing peanuts. Peanuts were a huge part of our local economy as well! My grandma’s first job was even at the local peanut mill. We even had a local peanut festival for all of us peanut-loving families!

I love how versatile peanuts are. You can enjoy them as boiled peanuts, one of my favorite ways! You can enjoy them roasted. You can add them to stir fries, salads, soups and so much more. And when you blend them into a creamy peanut butter, the possibilities are almost endless especially when it comes to sweet treats like this yummy grilled banana split.

Creamy peanut butter is an affordable and easy way to add a tasty, nutritious boost to so many different recipes like smoothies, snacks and sweet treats. It adds a whopping eight powerful grams of protein, two grams of filling fiber and 12 grams of unsaturated fat in each two tablespoon serving. That’s amazing!

My family loves peanut butter. We have it in smoothies, sandwiches, with apples and crackers and on just about every dessert. And when I’m pregnant, my favorite snack is a jar of peanut butter and a spoon. It’s a great way to add nutrition to just about any dish. That’s why I love adding it to sweet treats like this grilled peanut butter and chocolate banana split!

For this banana split, it takes just a few ingredients. Start with your favorite peanut butter brand, some fresh fruit and peanuts!

Then just grill up some split bananas on the grill. This is super easy to do. Just leave the banana peel on and grill them fruit side down until they have some nice grill marks on them.
