Spinach Avocado Dip
Since the new year, I’ve been trying to keep up with my resolution to eat healthier, especially since there’s a groeing baby in my belly. That means instead of low fat healthy foods, I’m costantly on the hunt for higher fat super foods that will satisfy my crazy pregnancy hunger.
One of my favorite, healthy foods that won’t leave me hungry is avocados. I’ve been eating them on just about everything and as snacks whenever possible. They’re just so good! But one of my new favorite creations is this spinach avocado dip. It’s a simple recipe that’s loaded with not only flavor, but also nutrition too.
Instead of traditional tortilla chips, I like to pair this dip with Old London Melba Toast. It’s not just for party appetizers, it also makes the perfect little snack. Melba Toasts come in Classic, Wheat, and New Ancient Grains; Melba Snacks – Roasted Garlic and Sea Salt. They all taste amazing and can be used for lots of different recipes.
I’ve shared this delicious recipe along with 7 other bloggers that have also created amazing recipes featuring Old London Melba Toasts. The promotion is called 2015 New Year, New Recipes Celebration. Over the next two weeks Melba Toast will share these great new recipes along with health tips that will help you eat healthier in the new year.
The recipes will focus on low fat dishes, low-sodium dishes, eat more veggies/fruits, eat more fiber, eat more protien, the importance of calcium and Superfoods. By visitng the Old London Melba Toast Facebook Page, you can also enter to win some great prizes, including a trip to meet Hungry Girl herself, Lisa Lillien.
